Office of the Federal Public Defender for the Eastern District of Virginia in Norfolk seeks an Assistant Federal Public Defender (AFPD) to provide representation to indigent defendants in federal criminal cases. This position may require work on holidays, evenings, and weekends as cases require.
AFPDs represent clients in federal court at every stage, prepare written submissions, interview clients, and direct defense investigation in the Norfolk and Newport News divisions.
