This person will be responsible for Ultrasound/X-Ray Corrective Maintenance and troubleshooting of Medical Imaging equipment, scheduled Planned Maintenance (PM) events, and installation of medical imaging equipment at customer's facilities. This position is home office based. Overnight travel for service and training is expected.
Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of customer satisfaction by providing ongoing maintenance, technical support, troubleshooting, and repairs for medical imaging equipment, to include X-Ray, both stationary and portable, digital imaging, PACS and networking environments, C-Arms, Ultrasound, and Fluoro systems.
- Installation of imaging equipment to include some project management, site inspections, assist with site planning and interaction with customers and contractors as needed to ensure preparation of the site to OEM specifications.
- Completion of all necessary state and FDA required paperwork associated with the installation of radiation generating equipment.
- Ordering of parts and supplies required to maintain equipment and tickets assigned.
- Maintains a working knowledge and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Provides "On-Call" service coverage after normal business hours on a rotation basis with fellow team members in the area.
- Completion of all administrative duties to include but not limited to service ticket closure, time sheet completion and submission, expense reporting, FDA reporting, radiation badge compliance, tools & test equipment care and maintenance as required by company policy.
Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline; electrical, biomedical, or computer engineering preferred.
- Military electronics background desired;
Associates (AA) degree acceptable with direct experience. - Must be eligible to obtain Radiation Safety Certification per state requirements (if applicable).
Required Skills
- 5 Plus years' experience in the Medical Imaging Field Service industry with proven knowledge and skill in diagnosing and repairing Medical Imaging equipment.
- Training and experience on the following OEM's and equipment lines is a plus:
Siemens, GE, Philips, Toshiba, Hitachi, and/or Samsung equipment, Carestream Medical Imaging Systems, Quantum Medical Imaging, Canon RadPRO Portables and In-room, Del Medical, Konica Minolta Digital Imaging Systems, Fuji DR Imaging Products, GE AMX Portables & OEC C-Arms, Summit / Amrad Medical Imaging.
Preferred Skills
- Valid driver's license and solid driving record for a minimum of five years.
- Valid and continuous personal automobile insurance coverage at or exceeding the minimum requirements for coverage in the state where the FSE resides; must be able to provide proof of auto insurance at any time upon request.
- Willing and able to undertake day travel up to 75% of the time.
- Willing and able to undertake overnight travel on short notice up to 50% of the time, including evenings and weekends.
- Willing and able to be on-call, travel and/or work evenings, holidays, and weekends if needed.
- Must live within a reasonable driving distance of a major airport. MXR Imaging reserves the right to determine what constitutes reasonable driving distance or a major airport.
