• Perform data abstraction by capturing complete patient history, diagnosis, staging, and treatment information for cancer registry patients
• Run edits on abstracts and make necessary corrections to ensure data accuracy
• Stay updated on changes to industry guidelines and standards related to cancer registry
• Communicate professionally and effectively with customers, managers, and colleagues both orally and electronically
• Participate in Peer Group activities to enhance professional development and collaboration

• Associate's Degree required
• Certified Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) through NCRA is mandatory
• Minimum of one year of cancer registry abstracting experience in a Commission on Cancer (CoC) approved cancer registry
• Knowledge of CR Star and Cerner is preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a changing environment

• Experience with CR Star and Cerner systems
• Prior involvement in continuous education related to oncology data specialization
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines effectively
