The Patient Access and Patient Portal Epic Analyst III collaborates with key stakeholders, end users and team members throughout system development phases of assessment, design, build, testing, training and implementation. As the primary individual responsible for implementation, support and maintenance, the Analyst III bridges the gap between technical solutions and operational needs. The role requires a blend of technical and interpersonal skills with a reasonable comprehension of digital front‑desk and scheduling operations, including self‑scheduling, to outline requirements and manage tickets and project requests.
The Analyst provides analytical expertise to information system end users, enhancing workflow, optimizing business processes and identifying system solutions that meet organizational goals. This position is full‑time, salaried, and eligible for remote work.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues within the assigned application, collaborating with other application teams to address cross‑functional issues, and utilize a ticket management system to document troubleshooting records from end users and operational leads.
- Guide the design of MyChart and Scheduling workflows, build and test solutions, and troubleshoot technical issues related to Epic software, ensuring optimal system functionality and user satisfaction.
- Communicate all application changes, enhancements and procedures to other Epic application teams, operational readiness groups and end users as necessary.
- Work with Epic representatives, Fred Hutch business partners, and end users to ensure the system meets the organization’s business needs regarding project deliverables and timelines.
- Participate in the development of end‑user training processes and/or curriculum content creation for MyChart/Cadence.
- Collaborate with partner training team on the development of end‑user training based on build and functionality.
- Engage end users for feedback and obtain stakeholder sign‑off for system changes.
- Maintain continuity in process and support of integrated Epic modules with other analysts.
- Lead initiatives for system enhancements, including introducing new features, system upgrades, and optimization projects, ensuring alignment with end‑user needs and industry standards.
- Adhere to change management protocols for all application changes, including building procedures, documentation maintenance, and comprehensive testing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Four years of IT experience; preferably in a health care setting; one year of experience supervising other employees preferred.
- Current Epic MyChart or Cadence certification required;
Welcome certification preferred. - New hires and transfers must complete required Epic certification/accreditation within 45 days of training and 90 days of employment.
- Experience with in a healthcare related clinical environment and working knowledge of patient care services in an acute care facility and/or ambulatory office practice environment.
