Job Responsibilities

Counsel patients on facts and definitions of nutritional concepts, assisting in developing a realistic and practical application of nutrition practices, and help patients become honest with themselves with their plan of action; set program with patient input to maximize success and achievement.

Essential Functions

• Prepare patient charts for daily appointments; schedule follow-up appointments
• Review all patient correspondence
• Perform counseling sessions with assistance from thousands of handouts provided by the company!
• Complete Progress Note for each patient
• Check and return emails and messages
• Perform any other job-related duties as requested by supervisor

Daily/ Weekly/ Monthly:

• Adequately prep 2 days in advance for patient appointments
• Complete notes weekly- due by the beginning of the day on the next Monday
• Interact with patients on Nourishly and report patient outcomes for the Meal Modification Research Study
• Stay on top of patients that cancel and do not reschedule. RD’s are responsible for filling their schedule last minute. Office Coordinators can assist with this as time allows
• Research for appointments, as needed
• Complete daily report prior to end of the day
• Respond to patient messages, emails, or voicemails in a timely manner
• Respond and contribute to RD difficult patient email thread
• Attend trainings and meetings, as they arise
• Aim to meet company’s patient percentage goals

Education, Experience, Attributes, and Abilities

• Registered Dietitian in good standing with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics/CDR
• Eating Disorder Specialty (Preferred)
• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition with associated dietetic internship required
• Personable, friendly, punctual, and dependable
• Strong time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Team-oriented, professional, motivated, and energetic with an interest in health and fitness
• Computer proficient (primarily Microsoft Windows and Office Suite).
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) is ideal
• Open to relocation with promotion
