• Perform patient registration and follow up on insurance billing and collection activities
• Make collection calls to insurance companies and patients to ensure timely payment of claims
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of charge tickets and monitor attachments for claims
• Respond to questions and requests from insurance companies
• Support the customer service unit in answering billing and collection inquiries

What is Required (Qualifications):

• High school diploma or equivalent certification or combination of education and/or experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a medical collection setting
• No specific certification or professional license required
• Ability to handle confidential data and demonstrate effective communication skills
• Proficient in using office equipment and telephone systems

• Knowledge of collections strategies and medical terminology
• Familiarity with computer literacy and data handling
