The expected base pay for this role will be between $80,000 and $100,000 annually at the commencement of employment. However, base pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location and years of experience. Further, base pay is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Psych Plus Health-sponsored benefits.
About the Role:Denial/Posting Manager – Houston, TX
As a Denial/Posting Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing revenue cycle operations, focusing on denial management and payment posting. This position is ideal for someone with extensive payer experience who understands healthcare reimbursement workflows and is passionate about improving financial outcomes in behavioral health.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for providers, payers, and internal teams—ensuring that claims are processed accurately, denials are resolved efficiently, and revenue cycle performance remains strong. Additionally, you will support organizational growth by implementing best practices and driving continuous improvement in denial prevention and posting accuracy.
Responsibilities- Oversee daily denial management and payment posting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Review, analyze, and resolve claim denials across multiple payers.
- Coordinate with providers and payers to clarify billing issues and secure reimbursement.
- Manage workflows for posting payments, adjustments, and reconciliations.
- Monitor and improve revenue cycle performance metrics, including denial rates, turnaround times, and cash posting accuracy.
- Collaborate with leadership to implement best practices for denial prevention and payer communication.
- Ensure compliance with payer requirements, healthcare regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for denials, postings, and revenue cycle performance.
- Partner with internal teams (billing, IT, clinical operations) to resolve issues and maintain seamless communication.
- Provide leadership with regular updates on denial trends, payer performance, and improvement opportunities.
- Extensive payer experience required (denial management and posting expertise).
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, denial resolution, or payment posting.
- Strong understanding of payer workflows, reimbursement processes, and denial prevention strategies.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and billing systems.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with revenue cycle tools a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to accuracy, compliance, and patient-centered financial practices.
