Pharmacy Technician, Front End Mail Operations, Non-Clinical Diverts

This is an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Pharmacy Technician to excel in a complex, team-oriented environment while having the opportunity to develop and strengthen technical skills and pharmacology knowledge while working from home.

• Screen orders, specialize in research, review and entry of prescription overrides as part of the Non-Clinical Divert technician role. Maintain an understanding of a pharmacy workflow and operate efficiently using a computer and keyboard with strong problem solving skills.
• Collaborate in a closed-door practice setting to ensure patients receive correct prescriptions in a timely manner and direct questionable prescriptions to the prescriber for clarification.
• Meet specified production and quality standards as defined by the management team. May be asked to perform other pharmacy functions as required.

• Active Pharmacy Technician license in compliance with applicable state law where applicant resides.
• Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
• Candidate must reside in the state of Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, or Texas.
• Pennsylvania requires proof of license registration in process.
• Texas requires an active state technician license.
• Florida requires an active state technician license.
• Illinois requires active state technician license and national certification (must be marked certified on state Illinois license).
• Minimum of 6 months related pharmacy technician experience.
• Adept at reading and interpreting prescription terminology and medications.
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• A secure and private room free from noise and distractions, with a closing door and ergonomic-friendly work area.
• Must have your own internet provider that can support the virtual working environment.
• Data Entry;
  Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).
• Strong attention to detail while multitasking through various programs.
• Proof of direct/hardwired internet connection to a modem/router within 10 feet of your computer and a minimum speed of 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload. WIFI and satellite are not permitted.

• Previous mail order or retail pharmacy experience.
• Rapid keyboarding skills with high accuracy.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standard operating procedures.
• Ability to understand and interpret Latin symbols commonly used on prescription medications and write routing correspondence.
• Knowledge of commonly used generic drugs.
• Ability to perform basic math for dosages and day-supply calculations; working with multiple units of measure.
• Ability to work with multiple computer screens/monitors for extended periods.
• Proficient in troubleshooting computer issues.

• Verifiable High school diploma or GED required.

Pay Range:
The typical pay range for this role is: $17.00 – $31.30

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
