Overview
Sentara is hiring a Full‑time Enteral Intake Coordinator for the Home Infusion Pharmacy in Chesapeake, VA. The role is responsible for the intake and registration of patients, insurance benefits verification, and coordination of new admissions for Home Care Services. The coordinator also prepares documentation required for processing, billing, and initiation of care.

Work Shift:
First (Days), Monday‑Friday, 8:00‑4:30 PM
- Arranges for the efficient and accurate intake and registration of patients using computer, phone, and/or video while providing excellent customer service.
- Captures accurate referral information, including patient demographics and insurance, and reviews general admission information regarding policies, patient rights, financial responsibilities, complaint process, and emergency contacts.
- Verifies insurance and benefits for all patient‑reported coverage and conducts interactions in a courteous and confidential manner to obtain and record demographic, insurance, and financial information.
- Accurately reviews and modifies information in the electronic medical record, completing all necessary forms.
- Reviews physician referral orders for completeness and accuracy.
- Informs the patient during registration of any financial responsibility for deductibles, coinsurance, and/or copays and collects payment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of healthcare experience (required).
- Experience with Epic is preferred.
- Information about Home Infusion Pharmacy is preferred.
- Experience with patient intake/registration and enteral order care coordination/enteral product delivery is preferred.
