Position: Contracted Counselor (PLPC/LPC/LCSW) in Private Practice

Role Description

This is a contracted mostly in person role for a Counselor (PLPC/LPC/LCSW) in private practice, located in Chalmette, LA, with the flexibility to work from home for certain responsibilities. As a contracted counselor, you will provide individual, family, or group counseling services, assess clients' needs, develop treatment plans, and maintain accurate records. You will also work collaboratively with the team to support clients’ mental health while maintaining ethical and professional standards of care.

You must be open to seeing ages 10+.

Qualifications
  • Licensure as a PLPC, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Louisiana
  • Strong counseling skills, including individual, family, and group therapy
  • Experience with creating and managing treatment plans and assessments
  • Skilled in case documentation, record-keeping, and maintaining client confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening abilities
  • Familiarity with common mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, and family dynamics
  • Proficiency in cultural competence and sensitivity with diverse clients
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
  • Motivated to gain clients and manage a caseload
