Person Specification Knowledge Requirement- Ability to communicate with all levels of staff
- Sound clerical background providing knowledge of relevant procedures
- Computer literate, familiarity with Microsoft and other packages, with high level of accurate keyboard skills
- Knowledge of databases and spreadsheets, i.e. PAS, Excel, or similar
- Experience of using a full range of IT/Patient Data Systems.
- Knowledge of NHS or service provider in general
- Experience of working in a team
- Good knowledge of confidentiality and Data Protection principles
- Understanding of Health and Safety
- Understanding of Equality and Diversity
- Medical terminology
- Knowledge of systems and processes used in NHS
- Knowledge of RTT and Access Policy
- Good general education including English GCSE at grade C or above (or equivalent)
- Relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in relevant subject
- Association of Medical Secretaries, Practice Administrator and Receptionist diploma (AMSPAR)
- European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)
- On the job training
- Supervisory training
- Quality customer care experience
- Experience of office environment
- Experience of managing conflicting priorities
- Organisation and working to deadlines
- Previous NHS or healthcare knowledge and experience
- Experience in a similar role
- Experience Supervising staff
- Must be able to commit to future rota working. (7 days a week, between 7am 7pm)
