Therapy Administrator

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Receptionist to work on reception in our busy therapy outpatient clinic at Byron House at Newark Hospital.

Person Specification Knowledge Requirement
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of staff
  • Sound clerical background providing knowledge of relevant procedures
  • Computer literate, familiarity with Microsoft and other packages, with high level of accurate keyboard skills
  • Knowledge of databases and spreadsheets, i.e. PAS, Excel, or similar
  • Experience of using a full range of IT/Patient Data Systems.
  • Knowledge of NHS or service provider in general
  • Experience of working in a team
  • Good knowledge of confidentiality and Data Protection principles
  • Understanding of Health and Safety
  • Understanding of Equality and Diversity
  • Medical terminology
  • Knowledge of systems and processes used in NHS
  • Knowledge of RTT and Access Policy
Qualifications
  • Good general education including English GCSE at grade C or above (or equivalent)
  • Relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in relevant subject
  • Association of Medical Secretaries, Practice Administrator and Receptionist diploma (AMSPAR)
  • European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)
Further Training

Experience
  • Quality customer care experience

  • Experience of managing conflicting priorities

  • Previous NHS or healthcare knowledge and experience

Contractual Requirements
  • Must be able to commit to future rota working. (7 days a week, between 7am 7pm)
