• Verify patient medical insurance benefits through phone and online access to various insurance providers
• Determine insurance compatibility with Life Stance procedures, including testing and special services
• Obtain pre-certification or authorization for procedures and enter information into the billing system
• Collaborate with providers and operations teams to provide patients with necessary benefit information
• Maintain accurate documentation of insurance verification processes in patient electronic charts

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Minimum of 2 years of medical facility or medical office billing experience
• Professional experience and understanding of insurance products and coverage types
• Experience working with insurance companies and knowledge of coverage policies
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Experience with automated billing systems
• Training in business office activities
• Demonstrated awareness and sensitivity in working with diverse populations
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills
