As an Inpatient Audit Expert, you will be pivotal in enhancing coding quality and compliance, providing invaluable insights into coding education and workflow operations. Your expertise will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction and will empower informed health decisions.

Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive Inpatient Facility coding audits focusing on MS DRG and APR DRG accuracy across diverse scopes of work.
- Offer detailed explanations for coding modifications, complete with references and documentation locations.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes that influence coding practices.
- Efficiently manage multiple cases to ensure timely completion.
- Deliver coder education throughout the auditing process.
- Maintain professionalism, efficiency, and a positive attitude.
- Adhere to the American Health Information Management Association's code of ethics.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service and ongoing professional development.
- 5+ years of inpatient coding experience and/or auditing.
- Certification as CCS, RHIA, or RHIT preferred.
- Consistently maintain a DRG accuracy rate of 95% or higher.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records software, such as Epic or Cerner.

The base pay for this position ranges from $35 to $45 per hour, contingent on experience and location. To ensure a secure environment for all, our clients may require health screenings and vaccinations. All exemption requests will be handled on a case‑by‑case basis.
