The Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, as delegated by and under the direction or supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The role emphasizes patient safety, administrative efficiency, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

• Provide patient care tasks and procedures.
• Perform administrative duties as appropriate.
• Ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Assess situations, consider alternatives, develop realistic action plans, and evaluate outcomes.
• Follow departmental and system policies, procedures, and practices.
• Maintain productive and efficient daily operations.

• High School Diploma

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
• Certified EMT (EMT‑B, AEMT, or Paramedic)
• BLS within 90 days of hire date

• Less than a year of related clinical or administrative experience.
