Speech Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow

Overview

Speech Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (260000KU) positions are designed to provide mentorship and advanced practice experience with a complex patient population in the acute care setting at a Level 1 Trauma Center and Teaching Hospital. The Clinical Fellow will work under general supervision to plan and administer treatment and therapy programs for patients with speech, language, communication, swallowing, cognitive and voice disorders, aligned with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

The role involves collaboration with Physicians, Nutrition, Nursing, Case Management and other rehabilitation therapies, and opportunities for evidence-based practice in evaluation and treatment, including dysphagia, speech and language disorders, cognitive-linguistic disorders, voice disorders, and tracheostomy care. Mentoring by experienced clinicians, participation in didactic learning experiences, and involvement in evidence-based projects are included.

• Education:
  
  Master’s degree in Speech Pathology. Provisional licensure by the State of Florida as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Must have a SLP Provisional license in the State of Florida
