** Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring a flexi/PRN Emergency Department Tech (
** ED Tech**) to work on an as needed basis.
** Hours/Shift**:
Flexi, Rotating Shifts As an
** Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech)
** with Sentara, you will assist the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse in implementing plans of care for emergency/minor emergency care patients. Performs patient procedures and treatments under the supervision of the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or  this role, you are an integral part of the Emergency Department Team.
* Starting IV's
* EKG's
* Point of Care testing
* Blood Cultures
* Vital Signs
* Arrival prioritization
* Stocking
* * Education
* ** HS Diploma
** Certification/Licensure/Experience
*** EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire
** OR
* ** Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, qualified MMAC candidates
** OR
* ** Current student enrolled in clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy) having completed at least one semester within the program.
