The Operating Room Technician or surgical technologist is that health team member specifically involved with the instrumentation and technical aspects of the operative event. Ability to work as part of a Team.

• Assist in the preparation and handling of surgical instruments and equipment for cardiac and vascular procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and support the surgical team during operative events.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other OR staff to ensure patient safety and efficient procedures.

• Education: High School graduate, GED or 3 years relevant experience required. Graduate from a Surgical Tech program required.
• Experience: One year experience in surgery or prior on the job scrub experience required.
• Licenses/Certifications: Surgical Tech Certification required; BLS certification required through American Heart Association.
