What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Assist with insurance denials and maximize reimbursement by minimizing denials
  • Monitor reports and work queues to ensure timely responses to denied cases
  • Prepare and submit appeals with supporting clinical information to third-party payors
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with third-party payors and coordinate appeal activities
  • Perform administrative functions related to payer contracts and denial data analysis
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • High School diploma/GED required
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a healthcare setting with administrative and financial experience
  • Denials or appeals experience required
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a healthcare-related field preferred
  • Experience with data mining and presentation skills using Excel and Power Point
  • Ability to adapt to a hectic and challenging work pace
  • Experience in training new employees when necessary
  • Knowledge of management information systems and program development specifications
