NHC is looking for a Home Care Regional Administrator to join our team. The Home Care Regional Administrator is a qualified Registered Nurse who provides direct line supervision to the Home Care Administrator/Director of Services relative to NHC goals, and all operational issues in the Home Care agency.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse licensed in the states of responsibility.
- At least two years of supervisory or administrative experience in home care or related health programs.
- Knowledge of State and Federal Home Care Regulations
- Knowledge of requirements of homecare payment systems including Medicare.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Communicates corporate goals and policies to Home Care staff and holds Administrator/Director of Services accountable for meeting goals.
- Acts as liaison between Home Care offices in region and AVP, Home Care Clinical Operations/Home Office/Vice President, Home Care for reporting changes affecting the operation of the office.
- Assists with the implementation and development of the Corporate and agency QAPI Program.
- Assists each Home Care office within assigned region in maintaining high standards of clinical practice through consultation, as needed, on patient care management; internal surveys; an ongoing assessment of compliance with company policy, state and federal guidelines and standards of care.
- Conducts Excellence Survey review and assists in developing plans of action for areas of deficiency.
- Responsible for follow-up for the implementation of the plan of corrective action for internal and state surveys.
- Acts as Administrator/Director of Services in any office in the region on a temporary basis as needed.
- Performs Annual Performance Appraisal on each Administrator/Director of Services in region and reviews with AVP, Home Care Clinical Operations / Vice President, Home Care.
- Responsible for recruiting, making hiring determinations and orienting new Administrators/Directors of Services in the region.
- Responsible for disciplinary action when required, up to and including termination of Administrator/Director of Services.
- Attends exit conference of all state surveys in the region if possible.
- Maintains current clinical and regulatory knowledge and skills through involvement with associations, committees, continuing education, and seminars.
- Acts as a community representative for the company cooperating with health-related agencies to increase awareness and utilization of Home Care services.
- Coordinates and presides over Regional Meetings once per quarter to include all offices in the Region.
- Other duties as assigned by the AVP, Home Care Clinical Operations / Vice President, Home Care.
