In this role, you will provide essential mental health services and 24/7 support to seafarers, addressing their unique challenges such as isolation, stress, and the demanding nature of their work environment. Accountabilities- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address mental health concerns such as anxiety and depression.
- Be available for on‑call support during crisis situations to offer immediate assistance to seafarers.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop tailored mental health support programs.
- Conduct psychological assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver training and workshops on mental health awareness and stress management techniques.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and interventions.
- Doctoral or master's degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience as a psychologist or psychotherapist.
- Licensure or certification as a psychologist or psychotherapist.
- Specialization in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, or maritime mental health preferred.
- Experience in working with diverse populations and cultural sensitivity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to provide on‑call support outside of regular business hours.
