Looking for an exciting new role to grow your career as a pharmacist? Join the Meritain Pharmacy Solutions (MPS) team as a Clinical Pharmacy Advisor. The vision for this role is to enhance client satisfaction and retention through proactive clinical support, while collaborating with account management and sales teams to identify opportunities for new MPS business growth (client management experience or pharmacy sales experience is recommended).
You will lead team oversight on PBM clinical initiatives to serve as a facilitator of education efforts for client solutions/key stake holders and as a direct clinical advisor. This includes oversight on our book of business for pharmacy plan coding related issues, clinical formulary changes, member appeal level determination, pharmacy client spend analysis, specialty claim cost containment efforts, and company level clinical education for our clients.
The Clinical Pharmacy Advisor will be a direct pharmacy advisor for the Meritain Pharmacy team for any clinical issues that need to be triaged, escalated or resolved, and will deliver robust clinical recommendations to our members to help protect them in their health care journey. Keeping the member health at the heart of what we do, the Clinical Advisor will also directly work with the MPS CARE team in efforts to research cost-reduction on high-dollar medications when clinically appropriate to do so.

Required Qualifications- PharmD
- Licensed Pharmacist in good standing in state of residence
- 3+ years demonstrated experience as a Clinical Pharmacist in managed care (PBM) space, with a focus on complex member management
- 1+ years Specialty Pharmacy pharmacist experience, to include experience working with members with complex disease states
- Demonstrated experience with formulary and utilization management within PBM environment
- Demonstrated client management experience and/or pharmacy sales experience
- Proven leadership experience
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 5% as needed to meet client needs
- Experience with Telemedicine
PharmD
Active, unrestricted pharmacist licensure in state of residence required

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
