We’re looking for a Field Applications Specialist to provide in‑field technical application support for our current and next‑generation automated instrumentation and reagents in the Core histology lab. You will help achieve regional sales and profitability goals within your assigned territory (Ohio or Michigan). The role is field‑based and fully remote, reporting to the Field Applications Manager.
In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To- Support Leica in achieving sales goals monthly, quarterly, and annually in instrumentation and consumables.
- Perform basic installation, evaluation, qualification, and optimization of instrumentation sold and evaluated in the region under supervision.
- Investigate technical applications in collaboration with Technical Service, Applications Technical Lead, Applications Manager, and Global Business Units.
- Respond to and document PMDRs on instrumentation, working with BU and customers for appropriate follow‑up training.
- Conduct in‑field post‑purchase application support and training with customers.
- Understanding of the product‑relevant histology marketplace or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years’ minimum histology laboratory experience in a clinical, research, or industrial setting.
- HT/HTL certification and/or an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Ability to travel 75% within the territory.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
We offer flexible remote work arrangements, a competitive salary range of $85,000.00 – $ per year (with potential bonus/incentive pay), and a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) for eligible employees.
