Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 2 supports Pharmacists in Specialty Rx medication preparation by dispensing Specialty Rx medications. The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments. The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 2 may contact physicians for prescription clarification and may enter prescription orders into the system.

Also supports Pharmacists and Patients by ensuring adherence to Specialty Rx specific operational processes and programs developed to optimize health outcomes, which includes effective communication with patients and providers. Decisions are typically focused on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction.

Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.

• May contact physicians for prescription clarification and may enter prescription orders into the system.
• Support Pharmacists and Patients by ensuring adherence to Specialty Rx specific operational processes and programs to optimize health outcomes, including effective communication with patients and providers.
• Interpret area/department policy and methods for completing assignments; work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards; exercise some latitude over prioritization and timing; operate under minimal direction.

• Active license with the Board of Pharmacy in the appropriate state and Certified Pharmacy Technician.

Monday-Friday: 2:30 PM-11 PM EST

Travel:
While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range:
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$40,000 - $52,300 per year
