Perform routine and advanced histology processing, including tissue fixation, paraffin embedding, microtomy with precise sectioning, staining (H&E and special stains), and cover slipping. Execute accurate manual and automated staining protocols, manage slide labeling and accessioning, and maintain meticulous instrument logs. Conduct quality control checks on stains and slides, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure compliance with CLIA, safety, and quality standards. Assist with immunohistochemistry and ancillary tests as needed, while documenting results and contributing to peer review and continuous improvement initiatives.
