- Follow up with commercial, governmental, and other payers to resolve claim payment issues
- Analyze denied and non‑paid claims to determine discrepancies and reasons for underpayments
- Communicate directly with payers to file technical and clinical appeals and ensure timely reimbursement
- Document all activities accurately in the appropriate tracking systems
- Identify trends and issues related to accounts receivable and communicate them to management
- Must demonstrate basic computer knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and critical thinking skills
- Ability to meet quality and productivity standards within set timelines
- Must adhere to attendance policies
- 2 or 4‑year college degree
- 1 or more years of relevant experience in medical collections, AR follow‑up, or billing
- Knowledge of claims review, analysis, and revenue cycle operations
- Experience with the DDE Medicare system and payer websites for claim statuses
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance claim terminology
