We have a new opportunity available for the role of Supervisor, Patient Financial Services. The ideal candidates’ experience and responsibilities will include but is not limited to the following:
- Extensive EPIC hospital Revenue Cycle experience
- Multiple years of hospital collections experience
- Supervisory experience; will have approximately 9 FTEs and 5 contract employees
- Extensive hospital back‑end Revenue Cycle experience required
- Denial management and insurance follow‑up process management
- Presentations to various insurance Joint Operating Council (JOC) meetings
- Work from Home (WFH):
This is a WFH role. Candidates must live within the state of Texas, preferable those applicants who live in the Greater DFW area.
Shift: Monday through Friday, 8am‑5pm

Required
- Education Bachelor's Degree or Five years or more hospital collection experience.
- Experience 7 years or more hospital/medical office experience. 2 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
- Demonstrate continuous performance improvement in targeted areas of responsibility in alignment with the overall annual Hospital performance improvement targets. Supervise all operational and financial processes for PFS, as designated from the manager. Ability to create basic spreadsheets and pivot tables in Excel. Provide deductive reasoning and rational thinking skills and have sharp analytical skills to address complex issues relating to managed care contracts, state and federal agency contracts, funding programs and budgetary constraints.
- Ability to prioritize work demands to meet or exceed financial goals and objectives of the department. This includes monitoring quality and quantity of work, performing Quality Reviews (QA's).
- Demonstrate ability to hire and lead a cohesive team to optimal results. This includes the ability to mentor, positively motivate, teach and instruct in a manner that others can comprehend and retain information.
- Provides feedback and training to the staff in an effort to continue success by evaluating and documenting employee performance and providing counseling corrective action, and training when needed, as well as recognizing satisfactory and superior performance.
- Provides input to identify quality and process improvement opportunities with the hospital Revenue Cycle. Utilizes system tools and department resources to achieve production and quality targets for resolution of patient accounts.
- Works effectively within the department and with peers in the organization professionally to identify payer contracting/reimbursement issues. Assist in performing analysis to determine root causes (payer or hospital), for payment variance issues and resolution.
