Job Summary
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Eligible applicants must meet specific individual requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit a completed EDRP application within four months of appointment. Award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after a full review.
LocationDayton VA Medical Center – a tertiary care facility providing acute, nursing home, mental health hospice/palliative, and domiciliary care in an affiliated teaching and research environment.

Major Duties- Provide clinical services in the homes of Veterans.
- Deliver a full range of psychological assessment services and diagnose mental disorders, especially for complex or unusually difficult patients.
- Facilitate liaisons with other health‑care programs to coordinate care.
- Assist the program director or coordinator in ongoing program evaluation and data‑driven quality improvement projects.
- Educate patients, family members, and significant others.
- Offer comprehensive, evidence‑based psychotherapeutic interventions, including individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
- Develop, implement, and document psychotherapeutic treatment plans for an assigned caseload, including timely completion of clinical reminders.
- Attend and participate in administrative and informational meetings held by the team manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:
Monday‑Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

- Competitive salary with regular increases; higher step rate may be awarded for unique qualifications.
- Paid time off: 37–50 days per year (annual leave, sick leave, and 11 paid federal holidays).
- Parental leave: up to 12 weeks after 12 months of employment.
- Childcare subsidy: up to 25 % of eligible childcare costs for employees earning below $144,000, after 60 days of employment.
- Retirement:
Traditional federal pension after 5 years of vesting and a federal 401(k) with up to 5 % employer contribution. - Health insurance:
Federal health, vision, dental, term life, and long‑term care; many federal programs can be carried into retirement. - Telework and virtual work are not available; position requires on‑site presence.
