• Verify the accuracy and completeness of financial, insurance, and demographic information for patients
• Conduct pre-admissions and admissions processes for outpatient services
• Investigate and review insurance information to ensure accounts are secure before discharge
• Obtain and confirm benefit, co-pay, deductible, and co-insurance information
• Resolve problem accounts by determining primary insurance and coordination of benefits (COB) information

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Two (2) years of experience in healthcare insurance eligibility, verification, or billing in a hospital/medical office setting
• Knowledge of various insurance coverage, COB rules of priority, and processing procedures
• Experience with insurance payor systems
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

• EPIC training or experience
• ICD-10 medical terminology experience
• Ability to adjust to new technologies as introduced
