Responsibilities
  • Process initial and reappointment assignments for hospitals and surgical centers
  • Perform internal credentialing for all applicable clinicians
  • Maintain complete files of provider licensure and credentials, monitoring renewals
  • Update credentialing database with demographic and licensure information
  • Maintain correspondence files and credentialing archival files
Qualifications (Required)
  • High School graduate or equivalent; AS or B.S. degree in business administration or healthcare-related field is a plus
  • 2-3 years of credentialing experience preferred
  • Proficient in computer applications including MS Word, MS Excel, and database administration
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledgeable in Federal and State regulations on confidentiality and peer review guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with NCQA and/or Joint Commission Accreditation standards
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Experience in a healthcare-related field
