At Resilient Mind Health & Wellness LLC, the Behavioral Health Specialist provides direct, person-centered behavioral health support services to individuals and families experiencing emotional, behavioral, and psychosocial challenges. This role focuses on stabilization, skill-building, care coordination, and supportive interventions that promote recovery, resilience, and overall well‑being. Services may be delivered in office, community, home-based, or telehealth settings, depending on program needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Provide direct behavioral health support services to adults, children, adolescents, and families in accordance with individualized service plans.
- Assist clients in developing coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, and problem‑solving techniques.
- Support clients in achieving treatment goals related to mental health stability, daily functioning, and community integration.
- Conduct psychosocial observations and document client progress accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with licensed clinicians, case managers, psychiatrists, primary care providers, schools, and community partners.
- Participate in care coordination, referrals, and linkage to community resources and supports.
- Provide crisis support and de‑escalation interventions as needed, following agency protocols.
- Educate clients and families on behavioral health conditions, wellness strategies, and available resources.
- Maintain compliance with Medicaid, agency, HIPAA, and documentation standards.
- Attend required supervision, team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Counseling, Sociology, or a related field required.
- Bachelor in Social Work (BSW) or higher strongly preferred.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related behavioral health discipline preferred.
- Eligibility for or possession of relevant state certifications or registrations (if applicable).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with mental health, behavioral health, or psychosocial needs preferred.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, families, and underserved communities preferred.
- Experience in community-based, home-based, or outpatient behavioral health settings a plus.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, recovery-oriented practices, and person-centered planning preferred.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain professional boundaries with clients and families.
- Demonstrated understanding of behavioral health principles and evidence-informed practices.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Cultural humility and commitment to equitable, inclusive, and respectful service delivery.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to document accurately in electronic health record systems.
- Crisis intervention and de‑escalation skills.
- May require travel within the community to meet clients where services are delivered.
- Flexible scheduling may include evenings or weekends based on client needs.
- Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards at all times.
