Sentara Urgent Care Charlottesville is now hiring a Full-time Certified Medical Assistant in the Charlottesville, VA area.
City/State: Charlottesville, VA
Work Shift: Swing Shift
Schedule: Clinic hours 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday–Friday. Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Schedule will consist of two 12-hour shifts, one 8-hour shift and one 6-hour shift with alternating weekends.
ResponsibilitiesThe Medical Assistant provides an environment for safety; identifies, addresses, and incorporates principles of safety for the patient, visitors, and employees. Performs patient care tasks and procedures as well as administrative duties (as appropriate). Demonstrates the ability to objectively assess a specific situation from multiple viewpoints, considers alternatives, assists with the development of realistic action plans, and evaluates outcomes. Develops the specific skills and knowledge required of medical assistants, facilitates effective inter-departmental interactions, and follows department and system policies, procedures, and practices.
Maintains productivity and efficiency in daily operations. Utilizes appropriate resources that are safe, effective, ethical, and fiscally responsible.
- HS - High School Grad or Equivalent
- Certification/Licensure:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or EMT Basic Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days from hire
- Experience:
Clinical/Administrative Experience 1 year preferred
- HS - High School Grad or Equivalent
