Seasonal Physical Therapist

Overview

Seasonal Physical Therapist (260000P3) - 13-week assignments with competitive pay and potential for contract extensions. May transition to permanent role. Requires minimum 2 years’ experience in the specific division and competency to work independently.

Evaluates, administers and directs therapies used in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as prescribed by a referring practitioner to restore function and prevent disability after disease, injury or loss of a body part. The Physical Therapist helps patients reach maximum performance levels and plans therapy involving therapeutic exercises, functional mobility training including bed mobility, transfers, and gait training. Utilizes various mechanical and electrical equipment, manual therapy, and prosthetic and orthotic devices.

Evaluates, records and reports on patient progress. Establishes goals of physical therapy and reassesses progress at regular, timely intervals, supporting findings with appropriate documentation.

  Bachelor s Degree Physical Therapy
• License/Registration:
  License Issued by Florida or Compact State, Physical Therapist Certification
• Certification:
  Basic Life Support (BLS) American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Work Experience and Additional Information:
  One (1) year Hospital Clinical experience
