The Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting the effective use and optimization of the organization’s Electronic Health Records (EHR) application, Patagonia Health. This role develops and maintains comprehensive training materials and workflow documentation to ensure consistent and efficient processes. The Systems Analyst serves as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and escalation support for EHR-related inquiries, and collaborates closely with program staff and the EHR vendor to implement system enhancements.

Essential Job Functions- Develop and maintain training materials for the Electronic Health Records (EHR) application.
- Develop and maintain workflow documentation regarding processes and procedures utilizing the EHR application.
- Document changes in release notes that impact the EHR application operations.
- Analyze user and reporting requirements, recommend and implement changes to the EHR application and workflows to promote efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coordinate testing of changes to the EHR application with program staff.
- Work collaboratively with the EHR vendor application support staff.
- Serve as a point of escalation for EHR related questions, including troubleshooting, submitting and tracking support tickets.
- Support EHR interfaces with external laboratories, inventory systems, reportable disease investigation system, and other Oklahoma State systems as needed for troubleshooting, serving as the point of escalation and coordinator between vendors, and implementing systems changes as needed.
- Build new report templates for programs, and extract data for annual reporting requirements as well as ad hoc reports, for agency use within the EHR application as needed.
- Conduct trainings for designated superusers, general end-users, and onboarding new clinical staff for the ongoing success of the EHR application.
- Implement practice management changes such as account activation/deactivation, setting and/or changing role-based permissions, merging duplicate clients, etc.
Education: Associate’s degree in healthcare administration, medical billing or coding, healthcare management, information technology, information systems or related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: 3-4 years of experience in a clinical setting with demonstrated experience working with electronic health records required. Previous experience using the Patagonia Health system preferred.
Knowledge And Skills- Demonstrated ability to identify, research, troubleshoot, and analyze systems software problems, and perform systems evaluation.
- Demonstrated ability to research, prepare and compose systems operating procedures and documentation, reports, and create training materials.
- Demonstrated ability to interact, advise, guide, train, and communicate effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and present information to individuals and groups.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.

Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License

Physical EffortPosition may require extended periods of sitting or standing. Finger dexterity to type, visual acuity to read and write, ability to communicate via telephone, etc. for typical office work.
