Position Overview

As a Remote Patient Advocate, you will serve as a key point of contact for patients, helping them understand their care options, coordinate services, and resolve questions or concerns.

This role combines customer support, healthcare coordination, and administrative assistance in a fully remote environment.

You will work independently from home while collaborating with healthcare professionals and care teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting.

What Youll Do
  • Serve as the primary contact for patients via phone and secure messaging
  • Help patients understand healthcare processes, benefits, and next steps
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-ups
  • Verify insurance eligibility and assist with referrals
  • Document interactions accurately in EMR/EHR systems
  • Assist with prior authorizations and prescription requests
  • Obtain and organize medical records and supporting documentation
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless patient experiences
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ year of experience in healthcare, call center, customer service, or administrative support preferred
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology is helpful
  • Comfortable using computers, EMR systems, and Microsoft Office
  • Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently

Healthcare certification is a plus but not required. Paid training provided.
