Schedule:
M-F 8am-5pm. No holidays or weekends. Up to 3 days of remote work allowed per week after successful completion of 90‑day orientation.
Pay Range: $22.90 – $34.35
Job SummaryPerforms a variety of specialized duties with regard to assigned research protocol(s) including extracting and editing data, tracking and distributing changes to the protocol(s), coordinating the submission of data, and communicating with staff and faculty members.
Education / ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED equivalent with four years of clerical, clinical research or data management experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Essential Functions- Coordinates the entry of new patients on to the protocol(s) by gathering patient information and submitting the appropriate paperwork.
- Extracts patient information from medical records charts and other paperwork for submission to coordinating center, including grading of toxicities utilizing standardized protocol charts.
- Edits patient information that has been extracted by ancillary institutions, if applicable. Provides timely reports, quality control feedback, corrections, and necessary training to ancillary institutions.
- Monitors the compliance with protocols by maintaining a detailed knowledge of each protocol administered.
- Communicates with other Protocol Specialists, departments, physicians, nurses, and institutions regarding the patients on the protocol(s).
- Maintains a summary of the status of each research protocol.
- Contacts patients and/or family members regarding the patient's status according to the established time frame.
- Monitors the hospital admissions of patients on the protocol(s) in order to gather and report data in a timely manner.
- Participates in and/or conduct audits concerning the assigned protocol(s).
- Maintains an organized and accurate filing system.
- Attends relevant professional meetings and keep abreast of current developments in the field.
- Excellent organizational skills
