Lead Charge Description Master Specialist - Remote. Candidates from most states are eligible. As a member of the PSJH System Revenue Integrity Chargemaster (RICDM) Dept. team, the Lead CDM Specialist coordinates the CDM maintenance workflow and/or Deployment/Growth projects. The Lead CDM Specialist designates and delegates work assignments to team members and monitors the team's processes and progress. The Lead CDM Specialist is the RICDM subject matter expert and the first point of escalation for team members.
The Lead CDM Specialist responds to internal and external inquiries regarding Chargemaster issues, and identifies, analyzes, and implements improvements and solutions. The Lead CDM Specialist is responsible for large, complex and lengthy projects impacting charge master, charge capture, Epic dictionaries, and the fulfillment of deadlines and objectives.
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Sciences, Finance, Accounting or other related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
- Epic Certification in Hospital Chargemaster from Epic Madison upon hire.
- 7 years of experience in Hospital Chargemaster, including inpatient and outpatient billing requirements (UB04) and CMS Medicare reimbursement methodology and knowledge of revenue codes, CPT, HCPCS assignment, preferably in a multi-hospital or integrated health system.
- 5 years of experience working with Epic Hospital EMR related to Chargemaster.
- 5 years of experience with Hospital charging practices.
- 4 years of operational performance improvement and/or project management experience.
- 3 years of experience with CDM Maintenance tools/software such as Craneware, Vitalware, Finthrive or other.
- HFMA Certification upon hire.
- Coding experience.
