Soul Tide Psychotherapy, PC, is a mental health organization based in Carlsbad and Escondio, California, devoted to offering trauma-informed and relationship-centered therapy to individuals, couples, and communities. Specializing in evidence-based treatments such as EMDR and the Gottman Method, the organization provides both in-person and telehealth sessions throughout California. Role Description

This part-time Associate Therapist role involves providing therapy services to individuals, couples, and groups in a trauma-informed and relationship-focused manner. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing client needs, developing personalized treatment plans, conducting psychotherapy sessions, maintaining accurate clinical notes, and participating in consultation or supervision sessions. This is a hybrid role based in Escondido, CA, offering a mix of in-person sessions with flexibility for remote work as necessary.

The associate will also engage in collaborative care with other team members and external healthcare providers to support clients' overall well-being.

Qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in trauma-informed care, EMDR therapy, and the Gottman Method
  • Expertise in individual, couple, and group therapy approaches
  • Proficiency in creating and implementing treatment plans, conducting client assessments, and maintaining clinical documentation
  • Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, such as medical and healthcare professionals, to enhance client outcomes
  • Strong communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills
  • Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
  • Valid Clinical Associate license in California (e.g., AMFT, ACSW, APCC) or equivalent
  • Experience with telehealth platforms and technology is a plus
  • Commitment to cultural competence and working effectively with diverse populations
