This part-time Associate Therapist role involves providing therapy services to individuals, couples, and groups in a trauma-informed and relationship-focused manner. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing client needs, developing personalized treatment plans, conducting psychotherapy sessions, maintaining accurate clinical notes, and participating in consultation or supervision sessions. This is a hybrid role based in Escondido, CA, offering a mix of in-person sessions with flexibility for remote work as necessary.
The associate will also engage in collaborative care with other team members and external healthcare providers to support clients' overall well-being.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in trauma-informed care, EMDR therapy, and the Gottman Method
- Expertise in individual, couple, and group therapy approaches
- Proficiency in creating and implementing treatment plans, conducting client assessments, and maintaining clinical documentation
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, such as medical and healthcare professionals, to enhance client outcomes
- Strong communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills
- Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
- Valid Clinical Associate license in California (e.g., AMFT, ACSW, APCC) or equivalent
- Experience with telehealth platforms and technology is a plus
- Commitment to cultural competence and working effectively with diverse populations
