Job OverviewThe Patient Accounting Representative bills claims electronically, verifies insurance and registration for patients, processes, and mails paper claims. The Billing and Claims team works several different professional billing work queues and workqueue types in Epic. Candidates must be able to work independently and be able to physically complete demands of this job which include sitting, typing, using office materials, and the visual acuity to look at computer screens for a long period of time.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED (minimum required)
- Associate's Degree (preferred)
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Revenue Cycle and/or Epic Revenue Cycle applications (minimum required)
- Bill claims electronically, verify insurance and registration, process and mail paper claims.
- Work within various professional billing work queues and workqueue types in Epic.
- Maintain independence in work and manage physical demands such as sitting, typing, using office materials, and long periods of screen use.
