Specialty Pharmacy Manager – $5,000 Sign‑On Bonus
Join Shields Health Solutions to apply for this specialty pharmacy manager role. As a front‑line manager, you will support our specialty pharmacy and medication adherence model, leading a team of pharmacy liaisons in specialty clinics within hospital settings.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the specialty liaison team to provide the highest quality experience for patients.
- Co‑coach and develop liaison team, instilling Shields culture at partner sites.
- Provide consistent, timely performance coaching, feedback, training, and development.
- Facilitate communication between liaison, Shields functional groups, pharmacy, and clinic teams.
- Meet or exceed site operational targets for clinic service, growth, and patient satisfaction.
- Identify and implement improvement initiatives to drive growth and efficiency.
- Engage with functional group leadership to ensure targets are met.
- Establish relationships with stakeholders at health‑system partners.
- Ensure partner satisfaction by communicating Shields value and addressing concerns.
- Collaborate with regional leadership on strategic growth initiatives.
- Provide performance updates to Shields leadership.
- Ensure consistent use of best practices for prior authorizations, financial assistance, medication refills, appointments, and outreach.
- Ensure coverage for liaison team when absent.
- Problem‑solve barriers within clinics and the home office.
- Identify issues in clinics and create tangible action plans.
- Partner with data analytics and patient support to execute opportunities.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement and optimization initiatives.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise to hospitals and clinics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; 2+ years supervisory/management experience preferred.
- 5+ years in healthcare or pharmacy with direct patient and clinician contact.
- National certification as a CPhT (or equivalent); prior licensed pharmacy technician experience preferred.
- Experience in retail, hospital, or provider setting communicating with physicians, nurses, and other professionals.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage performance against metrics.
- Patient‑centered, high‑integrity, motivational, detail‑oriented, and dependable.
- Team player with discretion and confidentiality for sensitive health information.
- Effective trainer, leader, and motivator able to inspire engagement.
