Overview
Arise/EFR is looking for a Regional Resource Development Housing Specialist
Job SummaryThe Regional Resource Development Housing Specialist is responsible for reviewing, monitoring, and approving NHTD and TBI waiver participant Service Plans that are developed by the waiver participant and the Service Coordinator, and reviewing revised plans annually to monitor for quality and cost effectiveness. Providing training and technical assistance to Waiver Service Providers on the needs of individuals with disabilities and how to develop waiver Service Plans.
Identify housing opportunities for individuals in need of housing necessary to transition to community life or to assist those waiver participants residing in the community who require housing support to continue living in the community.
- A baccalaureate degree or higher in health or human services or a related field and two years of combined satisfactory professional experience in working with individuals with disabilities and/or seniors or
- Be a Registered Professional Nurse and have one years of combined satisfactory professional experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or seniors, including in a managerial capacity or
- Possess an associate degree and five years of combined satisfactory experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or seniors, including in a managerial capacity or
- One year of satisfactory experience as an Assistant Regional Resource Development Specialist
- Working knowledge of services and supports available through Medicaid, Medicare and/or other third party payers
- Working knowledge of community-based resources for individuals with disabilities and/or seniors
• Experience developing relationships with institutional and/or community-based organizations - Excellent screening and interviewing skills
- Organizational, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer proficiency;
Microsoft Word, Excel, Win Zip - Clean driver license, reliable transportation
Work location:
Onondaga County - Syracuse, NY
Hours and days:
Monday-Friday 8:00am
-4:00pm (Tentative work from home schedule)
Compensation: $50,000 -$52,000 Annually

-Exempt; 40 hours per week, including one-hour paid lunch
Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.
