Job Summary

RAYUS now offers Daily Pay! Work today, get paid today! RAYUS Radiology is looking for an Administrative Supervisor to join our team. As an Administrative Supervisor, you will provide leadership and management to administrative functions and assures that services are provided within professional standards.

Administrative functions supported could include front office, scheduling, insurance, health information, and teleradiology. This is a full-time position working Monday thru Friday 40 hours per week. Shifts are from 6:30am-3:00pm.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Staff and Department Supervision (45%)
  • Establishes associate schedules to provide for planned time off, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and adequate center coverage
  • Monitors and approves timecards
  • Manages hiring process for new team members in partnership with HR
  • Implements training program for new associates
  • Initiates and participates in staff performance evaluations, compensation and development of associates including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and/or terminations
  • Leads regular staff meetings and employee one-on-ones
  • Evaluates workflow and implements process improvements for the team
  • Ensures team has knowledge of company and department policies and corresponding procedures are in place
  • Supports associates ensuring highest level of patient satisfaction
  • Fosters a team environment, ensuring appropriate communication between departments
  • Creates and updates center's information manuals and process documents
  • Develops and monitors the teams' performance through QA process
  • Leads special projects and/or committees, as assigned
Registration, Scheduling, Insurance, Health Information and/or Teleradiology (45%)
  • Answers phones and handles calls in an efficient and friendly manner
  • Acts as liaison between technologists and the patients waiting for exams and relays messages regarding scanner status and other clinic information
  • Coordinates patient relations, ensuring quality service is delivered
  • Maintains front office operations such as ordering office supplies, magazines, organizing coffee and office supplies, and assisting with office cleaning
  • Faxes reports, billing requests, and medical release forms to as requested
  • Ensures performance of daily center banking functions to include accurate completion of daily cash logs, bank deposit, and all receipts
  • Schedules patient examinations
  • Communicates daily with technologist(s) and radiologist(s) on administrative matters
  • Maintains an accurate and up to date pending-scheduling list
  • Checks all exams for pre-certification with patient's insurance company
  • Uses knowledge of insurance carriers (example Medicare) and procedures that require waivers to obtain authorization if needed prior to appointment
  • Assists in the maintenance of up-to-date and accurate database functions on all current and potential referring physicians
  • Pre-certifies all exams with patient's insurance company as required
  • Verifies insurance for same day add-ons
  • Uses knowledge of insurance carriers (example Medicare) and procedures that require waivers and obtains proper authorization if needed prior to appointment

Requirements Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience
  • Proficient with using computer systems and typing
  • Must be able to handle multi-level phone system with a high volume of calls at one time
Preferred
  • Associate's degree
  • Medical terminology and previous clinical business office experience
  • Bilingual
