Compensation: $18.50 – $29.50 / hour

Work Schedule: Full-time schedule, Monday–Friday (early Friday schedule available).
About Our Client:Addison Group is partnering with our client to identify experienced Insurance Follow-Up Representatives for a 6–8 month contract engagement. This project supports a large-scale accounts receivable initiative aimed at reducing aged balances and resolving outstanding insurance claims following an internal transition of revenue cycle operations.
Job Description:The Insurance Follow-Up Representative will focus on resolving open insurance balances, researching claim status issues, and ensuring timely reimbursement. This role requires prior experience navigating payer guidelines, addressing denials, and managing AR workflows in either hospital or professional billing environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage assigned insurance accounts receivable worklists and prioritize follow-up activities.
- Research and resolve unpaid, underpaid, or denied claims to drive reimbursement.
- Review transferred or backlog accounts and take appropriate corrective action daily.
- Submit corrected claims, appeals, or adjustments as needed to facilitate payment resolution.
- Accurately record account updates, actions taken, and outcomes within the billing system.
- Partner with leadership and reimbursement teams to elevate complex claim issues.
- 3–5 years of experience in insurance follow-up within hospital or professional billing.
- Strong understanding of payer policies, denial management, and AR processes.
- Experience working within Cerner or comparable EMR/billing systems.
- Background supporting large AR cleanup or backlog-reduction initiatives.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Clear communicator with strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
- 6–8 month contract supporting a high-impact revenue cycle initiative.
- Remote flexibility for qualified candidates located in NC or SC.
