• Schedule patient visits, testing, procedures, and surgeries in a timely manner according to established procedures
• Maintain accurate and thorough knowledge of clinical information systems for patient scheduling and reporting functions
• Ensure all insurance, demographic, and eligibility information is accurately obtained and entered into the system
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and clinical staff while adhering to customer service policies
• Communicate effectively with management, clinical staff, and other internal and external customers to assist with referral-related questions

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education or 4 years of relevant experience
• Experience in a healthcare practice setting is preferred
• Virginia MLTSS (UAI) Certification required to complete orientation and must be maintained throughout employment
• Advanced computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and other software programs
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Experience in a centralized referral organization structure
• Familiarity with Epic software for referral coordination
• Prior experience in a role focused on referrals and authorizations
• Active engagement in referral-related education and training
