Public Health Nursing Consultant - Quality Assurance

• Monitor compliance with State and Federal regulations related to quality management processes and health care concerns
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of service providers and individual members to ensure compliance and timely resolution of cases
• Perform on-site investigations regarding health and safety concerns, including urgent situations outside normal business hours
• Develop and implement improved processes to enhance unit efficiency and lead special projects
• Provide education and technical assistance to stakeholders regarding covered services and compliance with AHCCCS requirements

• Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Arizona
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant healthcare experience
• Knowledge of State and Federal policies governing Medicaid and healthcare services
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to assess clinical information and make independent decisions

• At least one year of experience in a managed care environment
• Experience in case management, quality management, or utilization management
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality or case management certification
