Bright Shadows Telepsychiatry Services is seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to provide high-quality behavioral health services to individuals across the lifespan. The LPC will deliver evidence-based therapy services through telehealth and/or in-person settings while collaborating with psychiatric providers and interdisciplinary care teams to support patient wellness and treatment outcomes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Clinical Services- Provide individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy services.
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical need and medical necessity.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments when necessary.
- Maintain therapeutic rapport and professional boundaries with clients.
- Complete clinical documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Submit progress notes within organizational time frames (typically within 72 hours).
- Ensure documentation meets payer, regulatory, and medical necessity standards.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, ethical standards, and state licensing requirements.
- Participate in audits, peer review, and quality assurance activities.
- Collaborate with Psychiatrists, PMHNPs, Case Managers, and Peer Support Specialists.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and case consultations.
- Coordinate referrals and community resources as appropriate.
- Communicate clinical concerns promptly to leadership and supervising clinicians.
- Deliver services via secure telehealth platforms.
- Maintain a professional remote work environment.
- Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality during virtual sessions.
- Manage appointment attendance and follow-up with missed sessions.
- Maintain assigned caseload and scheduling expectations.
- Support reduction of no-show rates through patient engagement strategies.
- Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions.
- Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and teamwork.
- Master’s degree in Counseling or related behavioral health field.
- Active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in applicable state North Carolina & Virginia
- Ability to obtain credentialing with insurance panels.
- Experience providing psychotherapy services.
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Experience in behavioral health or telepsychiatry settings.
- Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance requirements.
- Experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disorders.
