Sentara is hiring a Part‑time Pharmacy Technician for our Outpatient Pharmacy at Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA.

Part‑time (28 hours per week) Mon‑Fri

Shift/

Hours:

Mon, Tues, Wed 11am-4pm;
Thurs 9am-3pm;
Fri 11am-5pm

$2,500 Sign‑On Bonus for Qualified Candidates!

• Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner
• Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care
• Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed
• Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information
• Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements
• Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately
• In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
• A pharmacy technician license is required in the state of practice

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required)
• CPhT License (Received through the NHA or PTCB) (Required)

• One Year Pharmacy Tech Experience (Preferred)
