What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Analyze occupational, vocational, and labor market information to support disability and return-to-work decision‑making
  • Conduct vocational analyses and prepare reports following established standards and guidelines
  • Provide direct vocational rehabilitation services to support employee return‑to‑work outcomes
  • Collaborate with internal partners and external stakeholders to develop effective work plans and accommodations
  • Participate in live claim staffings, providing real‑time vocational input and expertise
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or a closely related field
  • Active Certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC)
  • Demonstrated experience in vocational rehabilitation counseling and return‑to‑work principles
  • Strong knowledge of occupational classification systems and transferable skills analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn proprietary systems
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience with ADA accommodations and the interactive process
  • Familiarity with completing own occupation and transferable skills analyses in a disability insurance context
  • Additional relevant licenses or certifications (e.g., LPC, CVE, CCM, CDMS, CEAS)
  • Experience in job retention and return‑to‑work services within group disability programs
  • Involvement in Continuous Improvement (CI) Management Systems and practices
