- Perform insurance follow-up billing and collection duties to ensure timely and accurate payment of physician charges
- Review patient accounts for accuracy of information including insurance, eligibility, and invoice resolution
- Utilize Epic and payer websites for claim submission, status inquiries, and eligibility checks
- Meet Quality Assurance (QA) and efficiency standards for handling invoices/accounts
- Collaborate with management and staff to resolve issues and perform additional duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping/accounting and/or medical collection setting
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position satisfactorily
- No specific certification or professional license required
- Must be punctual and available for scheduled work shifts
- Experience in claims resolution and collections strategies
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-10 coding
- Familiarity with health insurance billing and HIPAA regulations
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
