You will work to gain market share in the Cardiovascular Perfusion and ECLS business by promoting, selling and servicing Medtronic’s products in an assigned territory as well as managing the achievement of unit and revenue goals within the respective territory.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES- Conduct sales calls to promote, sell and service Medtronic Perfusion, Blood Management and ECLS products to existing and competitive customers based on a strategic territory plan.
- Call points: cardiac surgeons, cardiovascular OR teams, perfusionists, ECLS physicians, ECLS Directors, ECLS Coordinators, hospital administration, clinical directors, material management.
- Achieve overall Sales AOP with a critical emphasis on achieving AOP in all new ECLS product buckets (ECLS Cannula, ECLS Vital Flow, ECLS Perfusion).
- Develop, implement and effectively follow through with a quarterly strategic sales plan to achieve sales goals and objectives.
- Create a detailed forecast with customer commitments as a measure of success.
- Identify, qualify, and close new and existing customers consistent with established sales plans and key accounts.
- Develop and maintain strong personable relationships with key customers to leverage into profitable business.
- Develop and maintain a high level of technical expertise in cardiopulmonary/cardiac procedures and ECMO/ECLS related clinical topics.
- Provide in‑service and basic clinical support on all ECT/ECLS products in an autonomous fashion, including initial and ongoing educational support and training to customers independent of Clinical Specialist support.
- Work collaboratively with your ECLS Clinical Specialist to support customers, providing product/therapy triage for acute ECT/ECLS questions/concerns.
- Provide feedback and information on competitive activity, market changes, distribution, and pricing.
- Identify and communicate to other departments (R&D, Operations, Marketing) suggestions for new products or modifications based on customer needs.
- Actively identify and facilitate customer attendance at education programs and key customer visits.
- Coordinate customer activities at all assigned meetings.
- Train and educate existing and competitive customers to gain incremental business and advise on product performance.
- Complete all administrative reporting accurately and timely (expense reports, account profiles, analysis, daily planners, weekly activity, competitive updates, mPowers, mPxrs, FCA’s, PHO’s, Teams spreadsheet request, Trunk Stock, Salesforce inputs).
- Ensure input and accuracy of daily CRM (Salesforce) ECT/ECLS activity report.
- Manage time, assets and resources efficiently; manage territory budget per the strategic territory plan and regional manager guidelines.
- Assist in managing customer inventory including BO’s where applicable.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends, product lines, and competitor strategies.
- Participate in training when appropriate.
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 6+ years experience
- OR Associate’s Degree AND 4+ years experience
- OR Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years experience
- Relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences.
