Are you a certified coding professional with a passion for leadership, compliance, and continuous improvement? We’re looking for a Supervisor, Coding & Auditing to lead our clinic health record coding team and drive excellence across quality, compliance, and revenue integrity.
In this role, you’ll oversee day-to-day coding operations, support and develop a high-performing team, and ensure accurate, compliant, and timely coding that directly impacts patient care and organizational success.

🔎 What You’ll Do- Lead and develop physician coding staff, including orientation, training, performance development, competency assessment, and disciplinary actions
- Educate coding team members and healthcare professionals on coding guidelines, documentation best practices, and compliance standards
- Oversee the coding of patient encounters and conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy and integrity
- Ensure timely completion of coding and charge entry within the revenue cycle
- Establish and maintain a formalized coding compliance review and audit process
- Design and implement audit tools to monitor clinical coding accuracy
- Monitor Medicare and other payer updates, including OIG work plans, to proactively identify risk areas
- Perform outpatient data quality reviews to validate ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Evaluate visit code selection for appropriateness and assist in developing facility-specific criteria
- Identify trends, provider benchmarks, and payer denial patterns — and collaborate on solutions to improve outcomes
- Promote employee engagement, patient satisfaction, process improvement, and workplace safety
- Serve as a key resource and liaison across healthcare disciplines to ensure accurate and complete coding and reporting
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent credential
- 5+ years of coding experience
- 3+ years of leadership experience (leading teams and/or projects)
- Strong knowledge of coding systems, federal compliance requirements, and revenue cycle processes
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to quality and continuous improvement
- Primarily office-based in a climate-controlled environment
- Frequent computer and keyboard use
- Regular sitting with movement throughout the office
- Ability to move freely and lift up to 25 pounds
- Not exposed to blood borne pathogens in this role
